On September 24, Heru Dewanto, Vice President of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and lecturer at the Indonesian Defense University and the University of Indonesia, visited Budapest as a guest of MCC.

The conversation was moderated by Dr. János Setényi, Director of the Learning Research Institute. The central topic was the future of STEM education, explored through questions such as Indonesia’s economic growth strategies, current challenges and innovations in education, the role of the business sector, and the influence of cultural and religious backgrounds.

The discussion highlighted that STEM education is not merely a scientific field but a strategic tool for promoting sustainable development and global adaptability. It also plays a key role in enhancing the competitiveness and leadership skills of the younger generation, as well as in equipping them to address the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
