On February 4th, the Learning from Asia project successfully organized an online book launch event for Learning from Asia in Education: How the West Can Learn from the East in the 21st Century. The event aimed to strengthen educational connections between Europe and Central Asia, bringing together educators, researchers, and professionals from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

One of the key objectives of the event was to engage Central Asian education professionals regardless of their location. This goal was successfully achieved, with participants joining from various regions, including three Kazakh Master's students who attended from Poland. The event was conducted primarily in Russian, with minor contributions in English, ensuring accessibility for a wider audience.

The event featured insightful presentations and discussions led by distinguished moderators and guest speakers, including Dr. Moldir Pocstar, Dr. Saule Anafinova, and Dr. Aisi Li. Their coordination and contributions played a crucial role in the success of the book launch.

Dr. Moldir Pocstar, one of the book’s authors, shared her reflections on the publication, offering valuable insights into the research process and the book’s unique features. Dr. Saule Anafinova provided her perspective as a reader, highlighting key takeaways and the book’s impact on educational discourse. Dr. Aisi Li actively engaged in discussions, facilitating meaningful exchanges among participants. All presentations were well-received, sparking interest among attendees to explore the book further.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the well-organized event and conveyed their enthusiasm for the book’s themes and discussions. The Learning from Asia project extends its gratitude to all speakers, participants, and organizers who contributed to making this book launch a meaningful and enriching experience.

We look forward to further collaborations and continued dialogue on how education can evolve through mutual learning between East and West.
